I am trying to make Kefir for the first time and I don't think it is working. I put the Kefir starter pack in my raw milk and set it on my counter. It has been at least 24 hours since I did that and it still looks like just raw milk. Any suggestions on what went wrong? Is it ok to still leave it out or is it a lost cause?

I've never made it with a starter pack, are you suppose to gradually activate the culture before it will work?
