I would like to hear from someone who has actually tasted this shake. Is it actually good or just tolerable? I'm very interested in trying it but hate to buy all of these ingredients if it's not great tasting. Thanks!

| I was the same way. I saw Sue last night at a BB speaking engagement here. I had emailed and asked her to bring enough for me to try it, as I know what is good to some is not good to all. I am a very picky eater and cannot make myself eat stuff that is not good. She mixed some up and I tell you, it is not just tolerable, it was good. We are ordering the stuff with this co-op order and I am going today to get the other items from the local health food store.

I've been enjoying a shake almost daily for about a month now. I like to use a little frozen fruit (especially 1/2 banana) in place of the ice called for. I can taste the difference when I put the contents of the Ho Shou Wu in the shake, so I actually swallow them as capsule supplements instead. I'm a chocolate lover and enjoy knowing that the raw cocao has benefits beyond endulgence in the wonderful flavor!
I have noticed too that blending it longer (we're talking seconds here) does make it creamier and creamier. Like most recipes, I try the original first and then tweek it and I've been adding fruit often. For my kids, I also use some organic yogurt sometimes.

Denise, I made this shake yesterday and did not care for it at all. I had to get it past my tastebuds and guzzle it down! I'm sure it's the Ho Shou Wu that is the problem. My question is, do you get the same benefits from taking it as a capsule rather than mixing the powder with the drink? My guess is that it absorbs better without the capsule form....do you know?
Thanks so much.
