I have used my Whisper Mill for about 4 years now. Within the last year the grain gauge for fine does not work (automaticly turns to fine) and flour covers my counter coming from the bottom and middle connection of the mill itself not the flour canister. Do I just need to get a new mill or is there a simple solution.

Hi Holly. When you say flour comes "from the bottom and middle connection," on your mill, are you referring to the area where the tube is inserted which connects the mill to the canister? In other words, the hole on the side where the flour blows out? You may just need a new tube. The connection may not be tight anymore.

| No, it is not from the tube but the unit itself. When I turn the unit over, it has so much flour it is hard to see the reset switch. It also comes from the middle of the unit. The unit is not one solid piece of plactic and flour comes out around the connection in the middle.

I did a little digging. It sounds like the plug in the milling chamber has come unsealed. The manufacturers of the Wonder Mill will not honor the Whisper Mill warranty, but they can repair them. If you go to http://www.thewondermill.com and click on Whisper Mill repair, you'll find a form to fill out and send in with your mill. (Turn off your pop-up blocker--it's a PDF.) According to them, the repairs shouldn't take very long, and should be less than $100.
