I want to grind corn for grits and I know the Tribest Personal Blender is recommended for this, but right now it's a little too expensive for me. Will a coffee grinder work?  Or something else?  I have a Cooks personal blender, but after time, the corn causes the plastic to chip.  Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately, the kernels are too hard for a coffee grinder. I've tried that with little success. It depends a bit on your coffee grinder, but generally you will be stuck with big chunks not matter how long your grind the corn.

Another option is the MegaBlend, which I would recommend even over the Tribest. It is more expensive, but worth every penny! There is also a new Mini MegaBlend, which is the same price as the Tribest right now.
